The Swiss, French and German tennis teams have all advanced to the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup's World Group while heavyweights Spain and Serbia have crashed out of the 114-year-old competition.
The Spaniards were missing world No.1 Rafael Nadal and trail Germany 3-0, while the star-studded Switzerland team, boasting Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka, lead 2010 winners and last year's finalists Serbia by the same scoreline.
France also took an unassailable 3-0 lead over Australia.
