League star Willie Mason's involvement in next month's NRL Nines tournament at Eden Park is under a cloud after he failed a random breath test on his way to training yesterday morning in Newcastle.
Mason has been heavily involved in promoting the Nines on both sides of the Tasman in the lead-up to the Eden Park event on February 15th and 16th.
The Knights forward has been charged with a mid-range drink-driving offence and is due to appear in court on the 20th of next month.
