The order of world tennis has been shaken up with Swiss player Stanislas Wawrinka's surprise Australian Open win.
Wawrinka's four set win over world number one Rafa Nadal, who struggled with a back injury, has moved him into third place on the world rankings.
In reaching the final after missing last year's tournament Nadal has cemented his place at the top with Novak Djokovic, whose bid for a fourth consecutive Australian Open title was thwarted by the Wawrinka, remaining at number two.
But both Andy Murray and Roger Federer are on the slide with Murray dropping to sixth and Federer to eighth despite reaching the semis.
There are mitigating factors in Murray's case because he missed the final third of last year because of a back surgery.
