French rugby hopes of a successful Six Nations championship have suffered a major blow through the loss of their captain Thierry Dusautoir for the entire tournament.
The 32-year-old Toulouse flanker, the world player of the year in 2011, will be out for four months after tearing a tendon in his right biceps.
He'll undergo surgery in the next day or two.
Toulouse have lost half a dozen players to injury recently, including their former All Black first five Luke McAlister.
