The All Blacks flanker Liam Messam may turn his hand to rugby league next month.
The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that organisers of the NRL Nines in Auckland are negotiating with Messam to play in a charity touch match during the tournament.
The match will be played between Australian and New Zealand media with other former players involved including Andrew Johns, Stacey Jones, Monty Betham, Gorden Tallis, Wendell Sailor and Nathan Fien.
