Vettori not in favour of moving up the batting order despite success

The New Zealand cricket captain Dan Vettori has no plans to move up the batting despite his man of the series effort for the Black Caps with the both bat and ball against Sri Lanka.

Vettori scored 140 on the final day of the second test against Sri Lanka, his highest test score and the only century by a New Zealander in the series.

It wasn't enough though to stop the Sri Lanka winning by 96 runs and taking the series two nil.

Given New Zealand's on going batting problems it's prompted the question should Vettori move up the order from eight?

But Vettori says with Jacob Oram and Brendon McCullum ahead of him in the batting order he's not inclined to change things.

The Black Caps now move into Twenty 20 mode playing two matches against Sri Lanka before a one day tri series also involving India.
