The Silver Ferns netball captain Casey Kopua has been replaced by Phoenix Karaka in the 12-player squad to tour the United Kingdom this month.
Kopua is continuing to recover from ankle surgery and will still tour with the team as a training partner to enable a full recovery from the injury..
Karaka had initially been named as a training partner and was part of the New Zealand Under 21 team which won the World Youth Netball Championship in Glasgow last year.
Laura Langman will now be the on-court captain for the side.
