The former Sydney Roosters rugby league captain Brad Fittler has indicated he will come out of retirement to play for his old club in next month's Auckland Nines.
After initial media speculation Fittler has announced his return on Twitter but the deal is yet to be rubber stamped by the NRL who go back to work on Monday after the festive break.
Fittler will be 42 when the two-day tournament starts in Auckland on February 15.
