Foundation coach returns to Heart

The new Melbourne Heart football coach John van't Schip is returning to guide the A-League's worst side to the finals.

Van't Schip, the team's foundation coach, succeeds John Aloisi for the rest of the season.

Van't Schip left the Heart to manage leading Mexican club Chivas and returned to Melbourne as a part-time technical manager in August this year.

Chief executive Scott Munn says van't Schip was hungrier than ever following his spell with Chivas and has made it clear to him he was coming back to make the finals.

The Heart lie bottom with no wins and four draws from 12 games, six points behind the Wellington Phoenix, and 12 points from a finals berth.
