Black Caps at full strength for Sri Lanka test

8:18 am on 26 August 2009

It'll be a full strength New Zealand cricket team that starts the second Test against Sri Lanka later today in Colombo.

Thirteen of the 15 squd members were laid low by a stomach bug during the first test in Galle which Sri Lanka won by 202 runs, but skipper Daniel Vettori says the entire squad has trained over the past two days and they're gearing up for a better showing in the Sri Lankan capital.

Vettori says the playing eleven won't be declared until just before the toss, but one likely change is pace bowler Darryl Tuffey in for Ian O'Brien.

It's a big match for the skipper who needs just two more wickets to become only the ninth player in history to achieve the all-rounder's double of 3,000 test match runs and 300 wickets.

Sri Lanka are now joint second with India in the official Test rankings behind South Africa.
