Geoff Boycott calls for England coach's sacking

5:35 am on 19 December 2013

The English cricket commentator Geoffrey Boycott has called on England's team director Andy Flower to make an imminent decision about his future, after heavy losses in the first three tests of the five-match series in Australia.

Michael Clarke's team regained the Urn last night in Perth for the first time since 2009, and the next Ashes series isn't until 2015.

Boycott has questioned the credentials of Andy Flower who's been in charge for four years, but the former Zimbabwean international says he's not looking beyond the final two tests of the Australian series.

The England captain Allistair Cook insists he wants Flower to continue.
