The South Africa leg of the international rugby sevens tournament, is likely to be called off following the death of former president, Nelson Mandela.
The tournament is due to be held in Port Elizabeth this weekend
The 95-year-old Mandela, who was South Africa's first black president, died peacefully at his Johannesburg home this morning.
The All Blacks Sevens side is in Port Elizabeth to defend their South African title but the New Zealand Rugby Union expects the tournament will not now go ahead.
An official announcement is expected later this afternoon.
