The New Zealand women's rugby sevens side has blown a big 22-7 half-time lead to lose 35-27 to Australia in the final of the Dubai IRB World Series tournament.
The champion New Zealanders made a number of personnel changes after the break and Australia hit back with three tries to one.
It's only the fourth loss ever for New Zealand in World Series history.
The New Zealand men's side cruised through pool play with big wins over Kenya, Portugal and France. The All Blacks Sevens will face Argentina in the Cup quarter-finals after thrashing Kenya 40-0, Portugal 38-0 and France 24-5.
Defending Dubai champions Samoa dipped out of finals contention after losing to both South Africa and Argentina. Gold Coast runners-up Australia also missed out on the quarter-finals.
Fiji, South Africa and Wales also won all their pool games.
