Globe-hopping Wilkinson ready for golf World Cup

8:08 am on 21 November 2013

The New Zealand golfer, Tim Wilkinson, has had to travel through four countries in three days in order to make it to the World Cup of Golf which begins in Melbourne today.

Straight after his top-10 finish in the weather-delayed US PGA Tour event in Mexico, Wilkinson had to board a plane to Los Angeles to catch a connecting flight to Auckland, before continuing to Melbourne.

The 35-year-old left-hander admits it was touch and go to make it in time after the Mexican event was delayed by weather.

Tim Wilkinson will partner the New Zealand number one, Mike Hendry, in the team event.
