The Auckland swimmer Lauren Boyle has produced another impressive performance to win the 400 metres freestyle at the World Cup meet in Tokyo.
Boyle took the lead at the 150 metre mark to win by nearly four seconds from the Spanish pair of world champion Melanie Costa and world record holder Mireia Belmonte.
Her time was the fourth fastest short course time this year, giving Boyle two of those four best times behind Belmonte's world record mark set in the Berlin World Cup in August.
It adds to Boyle's win in the 800 on the first day which was the third fastest time this year.
