6:10 am on 22 October 2013

The national women's cricket team has beaten the West Indies by nine runs in Barbados to stay alive in their Twenty20 tri-series.

The White Ferns only managed 101 for seven off their 20 overs but restricted the Windies to 92 for eight.

The New Zealanders' final round robin match is against England on Wednesday and they'll give themselves a great chance of qualifying for the final with a victory.
