All Blacks forwards Kieran Read and Sam Whitelock have signed new contracts through to 2017 with New Zealand Rugby.
The union says neither has any out-clauses in their deals and they are "locked in".
Read, the No.8 and All Blacks captain in the absence of Richie McCaw for much of the season, and Whitelock, the premier lock, have also re-committed to the Crusaders for Super Rugby for the same period.
Read had overseas offers on the table but chose to stick with the All Blacks instead. He says he will probably play offshore at some stage.
