Sale of sevens tickets resumes after glitch

5:59 am on 28 September 2013

Ticket sales for the Wellington Sevens have resumed after a computer glitch interrupted trading on Friday morning.

Tickets went on sale at 9am, and more than 6000 were snapped up in about three minutes before the system crashed.

Uncertainty around what caused the problem forced organisers to take the remaining tickets offline until the system was fixed.

More than 7,000 tickets were sold before problems began, and there were still about 11,000 available for purchase from 3pm.
