Manly loses Stewart for semi final

7:02 pm on 20 September 2013

The Manly Sea Eagles have suffered a blow with the star fullback, Brett Stewart, ruled out of tonight's NRL semi-final against the Cronulla Sharks with a hamstring injury.

Stewart, who missed last week's finals loss to the Sydney Roosters with the injury, failed to pass a fitness test this morning.

The Manly rookie of the year, Peta Hiku, will replace him and the five-eighth, Kieran Foran, says he's more than capable of doing the job.

The Sharks have also been weakened by injury with the playmaker Todd Carney missing the match with a hamstring problem.
