Canterbury defeated old foe Otago 32-22 in front of about 9,000 spectators in Christchurch on Saturday.
Both teams scored dazzling tries in the opening ten minutes of the provincial rugby derby, with the hosts adding one more before the break to lead 15-13 at half time.
In the second half, Canterbury put the foot down scoring two unanswered tries to win 32-22.
