Wellington has maintained top spot on provincial rugby's premiership table after defeating Northland 30-10 in Whangarei.
Down 15-10 at half-time, Northland had managed to stay in touch with Wellington during the first half, but were outclassed in the second when the team from the capital ran in two unanswered tries.
