Wallabies skipper James Horwill has been ruled out of Saturday's Rugby Championship test against South Africa in Brisbane due to a hamstring injury.
Horwill suffered a slight strain during training on Tuesday afternoon and has been replaced by the New South Wales Waratahs' Kane Douglas in Australia's second-row while Will Genia will captain the team at Suncorp Stadium.
Horwill, who missed the entire 2012 international season with a torn hamstring, will also sit out next week's match against Argentina in Perth.
Meanwhile Israel Folau is excited about his switch to fullback, believing it'll help his test rugby frustrations disappear when the Wallabies take on the Springboks this weekend at Suncorp Stadium.
Since enjoying a scintillating first-half debut for Australia, in which he scored two tries against the Lions, Folau has been under-employed in five tests on the wing, and he's keen to make the most of his chance in the more familiar No.15 role.
Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie is gambling on the possibility that the Springboks first five Morne Steyn might not kick so often, given Folau's threat as a dangerous counter-attacker.
The axing of first five Matt Toomua to make way for Quade Cooper's first test start in almost 12 months is also designed to give Folau, and his fellow backs, more chances in space out wide.
