Warriors still in the mix for top 8

6:07 am on 2 September 2013

Despite their 50-16 win over the Canberra Raiders in round 25 of the NRL, the Warriors season could end in frustration.

The Warriors' late season surge was offset yesterday by wins for North Queensland over Cronulla, and Gold Coast, who upset the Sydney Roosters, meaning the Cowboys, Sharks and Warriors are level on 28 points, sharing 8th place.

On form the Warriors should win their final match in Wollongong this weekend against the second-to-bottom team St George-Illawarra, Then they would need two of the Cowboys, Titans and Knights to lose their games.

South Sydney are on top of the table, two points clear of the Sydney Roosters.
