New Zealand double scullers Zoe Stevenson and Fiona Bourke have been narrowly beaten by a crew from Lithuania in the World Championship final in Korea.
The photo finish revealed Lithuania had crossed the line first in 6:51.82, just four hundredths of a second in front of the New Zealanders who clocked a time of 6:51.86.
After winning all three World Cup regattas this year, the men's double scullers Robbie Manson and Michael Arms faded to last place in their World Championship final.
The New Zealanders' time of 6:17.86 was eight seconds slower than the winners from Norway who crossed the line in 6:09.51.
The men's lightweight four had also won all three World Cup regattas this year, but were beaten into second place at the World Championships by Denmark.
The New Zealanders Curtis Rapley, Peter Taylor, James Hunter and James Lassche time of 5:57.28 was only good enough for the silver behind Denmark's gold medal time of 5:55.68.
New Zealander Emma Twigg also races on Sunday evening in the final of the single sculls.
