The Wellington rugby side has beaten Counties Manukau 55-16 in the opening match of the ITM Cup in Pukekohe.
Wellington scored eight tries to one and led 29-9 at half-time.
Wellington had three All Blacks in their side, Dane Coles, Victor Vito and Jeremy Thrush.
Lima Sopoaga kicked 15 points.
