Forbes magazine has published its annual sports rich list which shows Tiger Woods as a runaway winner of the money title, but also highlights the yawning earnings gap between the sexes.
Woods tops the list with an annual income of $98.6 million for the year to June, nearly $63 million more than the second highest earner, basketballer Kobe Bryant.
The Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova heads the women's list with $36 million, with tennis filling the top four places in women's sport, ahead of the American NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.
