The ongoing investigation into the alleged 2011 supplement plan used by the Cronulla league club has taken a new twist after it emerged that the Sharks skipper Paul Gallen reportedly had his phone seized by customs officials at Sydney airport last weekend.

Gallen was returning from the game against the Warriors in Auckland when he was intercepted by customs officials, and according to a Fairfax media report, data was downloaded from his phone before it was returned to him.

The New South Wales State of Origin captain, who is one of 12 players due to be interviewed by Australia's Anti Doping Agency this month, denied that his phone was confiscated or that information was downloaded by Customs.
