Hingis back for doubles but singles out of the question

Switzerland's former world tennis number one Martina Hingis says she has no plan to return to singles despite a renewed hunger for competition inspiring her forthcoming comeback in doubles.

Hingis is teaming up with Slovak Daniela Hantuchova at this week's Southern California Open.

Hingis, who was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of fame just two weeks ago, hasn't played a WTA-level match in six years.

She and Hantuchova are also intending to compete at Toronto, Cincinnati and the U.S. Open but have not made any plans beyond that.
