Warriors continue winning streak against defending champs

8:51 am on 29 July 2013

The Warriors are on the verge of the NRL's top eight after a pulsating 30-22 win yesterday over the defending champion Melbourne Storm.

In front of their biggest home crowd of the season, the Warriors led throughout, though the result was sealed only by a spectacular late try from fullback Kevin Locke.

They've now won seven of their last eight matches including victories over three of the top four sides - the Sydney Roosters, Melbourne and Manly, and they've surged from the bottom of the table to share the same points as 8th placed Newcastle.

They're at home again this weekend against the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday.
