Radford 20th at World Swim Championships

The Rotorua swimmer Kane Radford has finished 20th in the men's 10km open water swim at the World Swimming Championships in Barcelona.

Radford dropped off the lead group in the final 800 metres to finish 28 seconds behind winner Spyridon Gianniotis of Greece.

Phillip Ryan of Auckland finished 45th in the 65-strong field.

Tomorrow's Cara Baker and Emma Robinson compete in the women's 10km open water swim.
