Froome says cycling is probably the cleanest of sports

The new Tour de France champion Chris Froome believes stringent drug testing means cycling is now probably the cleanest sport.

In the wake of Lance Armstrong being stripped of his seven titles for cheating, Froome found the finger of suspicion pointing at him during this year's tour, but the Kenyan-born rider believes cycling really must be one of the cleanest of sports, if not the cleanest, because of the way it's policed.

After completely dominating the last two weeks of this year's Tour Froome believes his victory could be the first of many.

His next major assignment is September's world championships in Italy.
