Three New Zealand golfers playing the second-tier Web.com Tour remain well on track for a place on next year's elite PGA Tour.
Hamilton's Steven Alker and Manawatu's Tim Wilkinson tied for 40th place at the Midwest Classic in Kansas, Alker backing up his win at the Utah Championship last week - his first title in four years.
The 41-year-old carded a two under par 69 in the final round as Alker continues to turn his season around in spectacular fashion.
Two weeks ago he was 149th on the money list, then jumped to 20th place after his win. He slips one place to 21st and remains on course for the PGA Tour, with the top 25 players on the Web.com Tour Order of Merit automatically qualifying.
Wilkinson, who has been one of the most consistent players on the tour so far in 2013, had a one under par 70 to drop 13 places in the final round. He slips one place to eighth on the money list.
Rotorua's Danny Lee, who missed the cut in Kansas after rounds of 67 and 80, also drops one place to ninth.
If all three can stay inside the top 25 in the remaining 10 tournaments it will be a return to the heydays of New Zealand golf. Back in 2002 New Zealand had its best representation on the PGA Tour with five players.
