More history for Nadal in Paris

6:31 am on 28 May 2009

The world tennis number one Rafael Nadal continued his bid for a fifth consecutive French Open title with a 6-1 6-4 6-2 win over the Russian Teimuraz Gabashvili, and the Spaniard's likely third round opponent will be Australia's former world number one Lleyton Hewitt.

Nadal 30th consecutive win since his debut in Paris in 2005 breaks the French Open all comers winning sequence set by Chris Evert in 1981.
