The Crusaders captain Richie McCaw has been bracketed for Friday night's Super 14 rugby clash with the Queensland Reds in Christchurch.
McCaw missed last weekend's match with concussion and has been bracketed with Jonathon Poff. A final decision will be made closer to the match.
Andy Ellis and Kahn Fotuali'i are bracketed at halfback with Ellis still bothered with a rib injury while Stephen Brett's sore knee has him bracketed with Hamish Gard at first five eighth.
Adam Whitelock replaces the injured Colin Slade on the wing.
