Celtics eliminate Bulls

The National Basketball Association champion the Celtics have beaten the Chicago Bulls 109-99 in Boston in game seven to win their Eastern Conference first-round series.

Ray Allen scored 23 points and Paul Pierce had 20 for the second-seeded Celtics, who will face the Orlando Magic in the conference semi-finals.

Ben Gordon led the Bulls with 33 points.

Boston used a big run in the second quarter to lead by 14 points at the half, butthe underdog Bulls fought back in the third quarter and pulled to within three points with 5:39 to go.
