The Rotorua golfer Danny Lee has made his first cut as a professional, in his second pro tournament.

The teenager shot a second round three under par to go four under for the tournament at Quail Hollow in North Carolina

Lee's four shots off the leaders, but he could have been closer if it hadn't been for two bogeys on the back nine, although his 69 included five birdies.

The world number one Tiger Woods dropped back to a share of third after also bogeying two holes on the back nine.

Woods is even par for the day, one shot behind the joint leaders, fellow American Bubba Watson and South Africa's Retief Goosen, who are eight under.
