Rain disrupts Rome Masters

6:34 am on 29 April 2009

Heavy rain has disrupted the Rome Masters tennis tournament, forcing the postponement of fourth seed Andy Murray's scheduled first match against an Argentine qualifier.

But Serbia's Novak Djokovic is due to start the defence of his title later this morning against Spain's Albert Montanes.

Meanwhile the Spanish 13th-seed Tommy Robredo staged a stirring comeback to beat the former world number one Marat Safin in three sets in the opening round.
