Chelsea drew a memorable Champions League quarter-final second leg 4-4 with Liverpool in London but reached the semi-finals with a 7-5 aggregate victory over their Premier League rivals.
Liverpool, trailed 3-1 from the first leg and needed to score at least three goals at Stamford Bridge to give themselves a chance.
They went 1-0 up after Fabio Aurelio scored from a free-kick after 19 minutes and doubled their lead in the 28th minute when Xabi Alonso goaled from the penalty spot.
But a transformed Chelsea, pulled a goal back early in the second half when Didier Drogba scored from a Nicolas Anelka cross and equalised with a blistering free-kick from Alex after 57 minutes.
They went 3-2 ahead with a Frank Lampard goal after 76 minutes before Liverpool scored twice in two minutes through Lucas and Dirk Kuyt.
Lampard's last minute second goal ensured a semi-final with Barcelona, who drew 1-all at Bayern Munuich to advance 5-1 on aggregate.
