Daryl Tuffey helps Auckland into State Championship final

The former New Zealand fast bowler Daryl Tuffey has helped Auckland into the State Championship final, taking six for 33 in an innings and 16 run home win over Northern Districts.

Northern were dismissed for 218 in their second innings on the third day of their four-day game.

Otago will start the final day of their match at the Basin Reserve leading Wellington by 202 with eight second innings wickets in hand

And Central Districts will start day three in New Plymouth trailing by 354 runs with five first innings wickets in hand after Canterbury made 493.

Auckland have 27 points, two ahead of Central Districts, who're five clear of Wellington with Northern Districts on 10. Otago have six points and Canterbury two.
