Vettori not happy after thrashing in first Test

The New Zealand cricket captain Daniel Vettori says they were outplayed by India in all three facets of the first Test in Hamilton.

The Black Caps lost by 10 wickets as India claimed their first Test win here in 33 years, and Vettori says he was disappointed with their fielding, bowling and especially their batting.

The skipper says his side need to bat for at least 120 overs, not the 80 they managed in their two innings, when they scored 279 each time.

Vettori says Daniel Flynn was the only one to really stand up with his 67 while Brendon McCullum's 84 came too late to make much of a difference.

He concedes that perhaps McCullum and himself should be higher up the order and also wants all rounder Jacob Oram to get a Test recall.
