The Warriors halfback Nathan Fien will have one eye on his Parramatta opposite and the other Stacey Jones come the Warriors national rugby league opener against the Eels in Auckland on Saturday.

Fien, a star performer in the Kiwi's winning 2008 World Cup season, will be the first to wear the number seven jersey but looking over his shoulder is the club's new star recruit, Stacey Jones who's come out of retirement on a one-year contract.

Fien gets first crack at the role though with Jones sitting out game one with a calf injury.

Meanwhile, Warriors coach Ivan Cleary acknowledges the team's feeling under pressure to perform this season, especially with the return of Jones, renewed depth in the squad, a Kiwi World Cup win and strong performances in the second half of last season.

But Cleary wary of an Eels side, under the direction of former Warriors coach Daniel Anderson, and who just like the Warriors have won all of their pre-season matches.
