The Silver Ferns netball captain Julie Seymour has been confirmed to once again lead the Canterbury Tactix franchise in this year's ANZ Championship, with mid-courter Maree Bowden named as her deputy.
The 37-year-old led the Christchurch-based side to eighth place in the inaugural Trans-Tasman competition last year, and doubles as the team's assistant coach.
The head coach Helen Mahon-Stroud says Seymour's experience made her an obvious choice, describing her as the complete netball athlete - both physically and mentally.
