The New Zealand men's hockey coach Shane McLeod has no concerns about security in India for the Punjabi Gold Cup which starts this weekend in Chandigarh.

The Black Sticks accepted a late invitation to replace Pakistan, who withdrew from the 4-nation tournament following the terrorist attacks in Mumbai in November.

The side flew out today and McLeod says they've had plenty of advise and he's happy to be going.

He adds hockey is a less high profile sport and will not raise the attention other bigger sports might.

Aside from the host the other nations competing Olympic champions Germany and world number three ranked side the Netherlands.
