The New Zealand equestrian Andrew Nicholson has won the top-ranked Luhmuhlen three-day event in Germany.
Aboard Mr Cruise Control, the world number one rider went clear in the showjumping to take the title ahead of Zara Phillips of Britain by just 1.7 penalty points.
Nicholson and the big grey were third after the dressage and hit the front after a faultless cross country.
Nicholson's win - on the back of his victories in four star events at Burghley, Pau and Kentucky firmly reinforce his top ranking and strangle-hold of the Classics Series.
The winner of the classics will pocket 186 thousand dollars.
