The Adelaide Thunderbirds have claimed the trans-Tasman netball minor premiership and a home semi-final while the defending champion Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic have all but secured a play-off spot.
The Thunderbirds claimed top spot with a 64-48 win over the bottom placed Northern Mystics.
The Magic remain 4th after beating the Vixens 56-51 in Melbourne.
In a repeat of last year's grand final, the Magic produced a strong defensive game which was then converted by Irene van Dyk and Ellen Halpenny.
The Magic are now 2 wins ahead of the Southern Steel and Central Pulse, who have 2 matches remaining, but the Magic play the Mysitcs in their last match so appear assured of a place in the play-offs.
Tonight the Pulse play the Canterbury Tactix and the Steel play the West Coast Fever.
