Retallick out of second test against France

The All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick has been ruled out of Saturday's second test against France with a hamstring strain.

He's been replaced in the starting lineup by Sam Whitelock, who's recovered sufficiently from a broken finger he suffered playing for the Crusaders.

Retallick suffered the injury at training on Thursday.

An All Blacks spokesman says Retallick is expected to be out for three to four weeks, which means he'll also miss next week's third test and quite possibly the Chiefs final Super Rugby pool games.

The uncapped Jeremy Thrush remains on the bench.
