The All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says the selectors didn't really consider making changes to their starting side for the second test against France in Christchurch this weekend.
There are three changes in the reserves with the veterans Piri Weepu, Andrew Hore and Tony Woodcock coming in for Tawera Kerr-Barlow, Keven Mealamu and Ben Afeaki respectively.
Hansen and his predecessor Graham Henry have traditionally left it to the same players to make improvements from an average performance.
And with that in mind, Hansen says they didn't come very close at all to making changes.
Hansen says at this time of year you just need a bit of consistency of selection so you can get consistency on the park, or in their case, improvement.
He says they could've brought Woodcock in for Wyatt Crockett but the Crusaders frontrower played well so deserves the start.
Hansen says they've done a lot of work this week on the breakdown and he's expecting an improvement there.
