The champion English racehorse trainer Sir Henry Cecil has died of cancer at the age of 70.
The winner of 10 English trainers' championships, Cecil's saddled up a record 75 winners over the years at the Royal Ascot meeting, at he recently looked after Frankel, the world's highest-rated thoroughbred galloper who was unbeaten in 14 starts before being retired last year.
Cecil spoke movingly last year of how Frankel had helped to sustain him in his fight against stomach cancer.
He was knighted for his services to racing in 2011.
