The New Zealand women's hockey team has won a Four Nations tournament in Whangarei, beating Korea 3-nil in the final.
New Zealand took control late in the first half scoring two goals in quick succession through Sian Fremaux and Katie Glynn to go into half-time 2-0 up.
The momentum stayed with the Black Sticks in the second half with Fremaux scoring her second to seal the win.
The Black Sticks coach Mark Hager was pleased with his side's resilience in the final, having lost to Korea earlier in the tournament.
Earlier in the day, Argentina overcame the United States 3-0 to secure third place in the first of two Four Nations tournaments.
The teams now head to Hamilton where leg two begins on Wednesday with the finals to be played in Tauranga next weekend.
