The New Zealand women's hockey team has beaten Olympic silver medallists Argentina 2-1 in their second game of the Four Nations series in Whangarei.
It was a much better performance from the Black Sticks following their 4-3 loss to South Korea in their opening match.
They played with confidence and created numerous opportunities with Charlotte Harrison and Katie Glynn both scoring goals.
Coach Mark Hager says they did the basics better, were more disciplined and they played for each other.
In the other match the USA beat Korea 2-1.
New Zealand play the USA tomorrow.
